Main Tasks & Responsibilities
To set dynamic performance direction targets for Nissan and Infiniti vehicles in Europe.
Vehicle appraisal and evaluation for dynamic performance.
Detail analysis of vehicle dynamic performance from customer perspective in the following areas: Handling; Ride Comfort; Brake Performance; NVH; Driveability; Main controls ergonomics.
Communication of the above to Design / Development team via Nissan methodology by report writing and target setting.
Benchmarking of competitors in the above areas.
Communication with journalist and Nissan senior management.
Additional Tasks and responsibilities (include team management, if any)
Facilitation of driving and evaluation events;
Ensure H&S issues in relevant responsible activities;
Must be prepared to travel within Europe, US and Japan- potentially more than once a month.
Background & Experience
Educated to Dipl (German) / Degree level or equivalent.
Driving evaluation and appraisal skills / experience to highest level within German automotive industry for dynamic performance. Track record of proven delivery for a number of projects.
Autonomous, self motivated with the ability to work under pressure.
Flexibility / Initiative for developing new methods and responding to new tasks.
Capable team worker.
Clear understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities as an employee.

Position Title Engineer

Main Tasks & Responsibilities
To define customers' concerns through customer interview and/or vehicle investigation.
To identify root cause of the electrical parts concern by incident parts investigation.
Background & Experience
Ideally Electrical system development (design or test) experiences in Nissan.
Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Body parts development (design or test) experiences in car maker or Service mechanic experience at car dealer.
Self motivated with proven ability in the application of problem solving skills for root cause analysis and concern resolution.
Able to work autonomously with clear focus on company and departmental objectives.
High level of self-discipline and good organisation skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for working in cross-functional teams, internal reporting at all levels, negotiating with key suppliers and managing technical support staff.
Capable team worker
Clear understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities as an employee and line manager.
Working knowledge of MS S/W packages such as Word, Excel & Project is essential.
A second European language would be an advantage.

Position Title Field Quality Assurance – Engineer

Main Tasks & Responsibilities
FQA is responsible for managing the investigation of technical issues on Nissan’s vehicles which are reported from either the market or from Nissan’s internal Design and Manufacturing areas to generate a clear understanding of the root cause and the effect on the customer. Using this information, we carefully decide the best way to manage the issues to ensure that we protect our customers from any potential safety or regulation issue, together we ensuring that we achieve Nissan’s overall aim of ensuring customer satisfaction. One of the main outputs of FQA to achieve this aim is the deployment of Recall or Service Campaigns throughout Nissan’s European sales network to manage the proactive repair of vehicles.
As an Engineer within FQA your main responsibilities will be:
Analysis of technical issues
Assessment of the impact of this issues on Nissan’s customers
Implementation of the most appropriate method to proactively repair vehicles in the market
Additional Tasks and responsibilities (include team management, if any)
Coordination of all European Authority Enquiries & Product Liability on Nissan vehicles
Background & Experience
Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a technical discipline.
High level of self-discipline and motivation with proven ability in the application of problem solving, root cause analysis and concern resolution.
Experience of Quality Assurance tools and techniques.
Good organisation and proven project management skills.
Customer orientated approach and a proven ability to operate cross-functionally at all levels within an organisation.
Able to work autonomously with clear focus on company and departmental objectives.
Team worker and good interpersonal skills for leadership of cross-functional teams, both internal and external to Nissan.
Good verbal & written communication skills.
